Question 1

1.       Ko aroko ti ko din ni 300 eyo oro lori ori-oro kan soso ti o ba yan.

          (a)     Ile eko ijoba dara ju ti aladaani lo.
          (b)     Ipa ti okunrin n ko ninu ile.
          (d)     Eto idibo ijoba ibile ti o waye laipe yii.
          (e)      Anfaani ti o wa ninu iwe iroyin kika.
          (e)      Ko leta si awon ajo eleto idanwo lati fun won ni imoran lori bi
                     magomago se le dinku ninu eto isakoso idanwo ni Naijiria.

Observation

(a)     It is an argumentative essay on Public versus Private schools.  Most candidates failed to balance their arguments/debates.

(b)     It is an essay on the role of males in the household.  The lexical ‘Okunrin’ was viewed from two sides: a male adult (husband) and a male adult (child) however, both views were in line and candidates were respectively scored on points expressed.

(d)     This is a narrative essay on:  The Recent Local Government Election.  Candidates did not narrate the event as envisaged.  They dealt with Local Government Elections.

 

(e)      The Advantages of reading Newspapers was the topic.  Most candidates that attempted it, performed averagely well.

(e)      A formal letter to The Examination Body; suggesting ways of reducing examination misconduct.  Most candidates did well in giving practicable suggestions. 
         
However, on a general note; most of the candidates wrote short essays with poor expressions.
