The candidates demonstrated good organisation of letter writing and some candidates’ essays were stimulating. These candidates seemed to have prepared very well for the examination. Some candidates were equally impressive in their expression through the use of proverbs and figurative expressions.

The candidates were also able to perform better on the question on ‘Eewo’ taboos. The few candidates that read the literature textbooks were able to perform very well in that aspect.
