The following weaknesses were observed from the candidates' responses to the questions:
-Inability to differentiate between the bevelled edge chisel and mortice chisel;
-Improper labelling;
-Inability to use appropriate sketches to illustrate processes;
-Proportionality of parts of the same object drawn was poor.
-Inability to sketch fittings and fixtures.
To overcome these weaknesses, candidates:
-are advised to study types of tool and their uses.
-should be taught the proper method of labelling drawings.
-are advised to pay attention to the use of appropriate sketches in illustrating processes.
-should be given assignment that will make them to visit woodwork shops and site.
