Most of the candidates gave wrong answers to the question. Media used by prehistoric man for painting was stated rather than the techniques used by prehistoric man for painting.
Some of the points expected from the candidates included:
- The pigments were applied with thick liquid form or in dry patches of natural earth colours.
- Simple outlines and detailed shading were applied to make
the image look solid.
- Engraving was applied to paintings.
- Peeking of the outline or the whole picture.
- Superimposition of engravings.
- Superimposition of new paintings
- Juxtaposition of new painting, etc.
