The task was testing typing of a passage with a continuation page to ensure candidates’ understanding of application of continuation page captions and the skill of continuous typing. It was also to test the appreciation of multiple printers correction signs such as marginal instructions.
Some of the candidates performed poorly because of lack of speed which resulted in short workings, and poor knowledge of shoulder heading and word division.
