Some candidates' work revealed that they either did not have the appropriate drawing instruments or failed to use them. For example, some candidates used ordinary hand to draw features such as ellipse, circle or polygon. Candidates are penalized for using freehand except otherwise stated.
In addition to the above, some of the candidates showed general lack of knowledge of some or the entire topics covered by the paper, while some showed that they were not thought well in some topics.
Remedies
(1) procurement of appropriate drawings instruments should be a requirement for candidates to seat for the paper.

(ii) candidates should be encouraged to complete the syllabus before th~ examinations.
