The. standard of the paper was good. The questions compared favourably with the previous ones and they were within the scope of the syllabus. They were clearly worded and the rubrics were clear. There was no ambiguity or incomplete statements. The diagrams were drawn with respect to the stipulated British standard and they were well presented and adequate. The marking scheme was equally adequate and the marks distribution were fair.
The paper, therefore, is an improvement on the previous ones standard wise. Meanwhile, the candidates' performance neither reflected this nor compared favourably with the previous years.
