Many candidates were unable sketch objects with freehand, inscribe a figure in another, identify common engineering or workshop tools etc. Generally, the following weaknesses were observed:
(a) Poor pencil work;
(b) Poor knowledge of geometrical construction; (c) poor knowledge and use of scale;
(d) Poor knowledge and use of standard conventions and practices;

Candidate are therefore advised to

(1) Practice drawing regularly;
(2) acquire necessary drawing instruments;
(3) visit workshops or building site regularly;
(4) Learn Technical drawing from first principle.
