Most of the candidates were unable to:
- determine the maximum height attained by a projectile motion using the law of conservation of energy
- determine the volume of oxygen liberated during electrolysis
- describe experiments logically and sequentially
It was suggested that to remedy these weaknesses:
- candidates should be exposed to move class work and assignments.
- Physics teachers should teach basic numerical processes in physics classes instead of assuming that they have been taught in the mathematics classes;
- Only qualified graduates of physics should be allowed to handle the subject.
