Observation
This question Was attempted by many candidates and the candidates performance was poor in parts (a) and (b). In part (c) candidates were able to mention the movement possible at ball and socket joint.
The expected answers were as follows:
Explanation of the folowing
(i) Systolic Pressure:
This is the pressure in the blood vessels when. The heart contracts and pushes out b lood.
(ii) Diastolic Pressure: .
The pressure felt in the blood vessels 'when the heart relaxes
(b) Effects of poor posture on the body:
- Impairs breathing
- Impairs blood circulation - Reduction in muscle tone - Unattractive appearance - Uncoordinated movement• - Early fatigue
(c) Movement possible at a ball and socket joint:
- Flexion - Extension - Abduction -Rotation named - Circumduction
