Many candidates attempted the question. With the exception of question (b)(ii) where description of the handstand was required, the candidate performed satisfactorily in the question.

The expected responses were:

Description of the actions involved in performing handstand in gymnastics
- from a single take-off
- hands on the ground, shoulder width apart
- with fingers pointing forward
- arms are kept straight
- head up/eye looking forward!
- leave the leg alternately
- arch the back
- the legs/feet are kept straight/toes pointing upward.
