Observation

The candidates could list two officials in tennis game but many of them could not explain what is meant by the terms ace ,toss and let
Many candidates were able to list four skills in table tennis game, but candidates could not list parts of a tennis court correctly. By and large the candidates performed satisfactorily in the question. .
The expected answers were:
Instances when a team loses a point in a doubles tennis game
- Failure to return the ball over the net into. the opponents net
- Failure to hit the ball after the first bounce
- Player returns the ball such that it hits the ground on his own court before going over the net
- A player/his/racket/uniform touches the net/post metal cable/ground within his opponents court while the ball is in play.
- Player hits the ball coming from the opponent before it crosses the net
- Ball in play touches the player/dress
- Player throws the racket at the ball.

Explanation of terms in tennis

Ace

A served ball that can neither be contacted or returned by the receiver there by causing the server to win point. A fast service which. wins point to the server which cannot be played by the receiver.

Toss

A spin of the racket or coin for choice of side or service by the winner of the toss.

Let
Any point that must be replayed due to interruption non-readiness/served ball hits net and land kin correct service court.,
