This question was popular with the candidates, based on the popularity of football game. Candidates were able to explain when a goal is scored in football game and listed correctly the equipment needed by the centre referee. Many candidates however could not state two privileges of a goal keeper in a penalty area.
Majority of the candidates could not explain clearly when the following kicks are awarded in football.
(i) Kick off
(ii) Goal kick
(iii) Penalty kick
(iv) Corner kick
All Candidates’ who attempted the question were able to list the skills in volleyball game . correctly.

Kickoff

- To restart the game after a goal have been scored
- To start each half of the extra time
Goal kick
- To put the ball into play after a player of the opposing team plays the ball across
the goal line. -
Penalty kick
- For fouls committed by defensive team within its own penalty area/named
Corner kick. .
- It is awarded when the ball is last touched by a defensive player before it crosses the goal line.
