The following weaknesses were identified in candidates’ performance.
(l) Poor sense of rhythm.
(2) Lack of adequate notational skills.         
 (3) Poor aural perception.
In order to overcome the weaknesses identified, candidates are advised to improve in their practice of
          (i)        rhythmic dictation;
          (ii)       notational skills and
          (iii)       aural training.
