The following materials are supplied:
(a) one flat mild steel plate, 180 mm x 60 mm x 3 mm;
(b) four dowel pins, 6 mm x 6mm;
(c) one cotton bag, 80 mm x 70 mm;
(d) two tie-on labels.

The diagram shows the assembly and detailed views of each part of a fitting exercise. Using the materials supplied, prepare the parts and assemble the pieces.

This practical question required candidates to:

- interprete drawings correctly and transfer same to metal;
- cut and file to size;
- drill the holes to the correct position for drilling;
