- Most of the candidates seemed to have developed phobia for the machining aspect of the paper. Nearly 100% of the candidates went for the fitting aspect of the question.
The following are suggested as remedies for the problems highlighted above:
- adequate and trained Technical Subject teachers should be employed in our secondary schools;
- schools should be provided with machines like centre lathe, drilling machines etc.
- generating-set should be provided to power the machines where electricity is not available;
- candidates should be encouraged to practice machining in the school
