Most candidates did not attempt the machining exercise. This is an indication that the required instruments like lathe machines and well-trained technical teachers are lacking in most of the schools offering the subject. The suggested remedies are:
- Schools should be provided with enough machines like lathe machines, drilling machines etc.
- Schools should be well staffed-with competent and well trained technical teachers.
- Students should be encouraged to create interest in this subject by their teachers.
