The areas in which candidates showed significant strengths were few.
They included:
- Probability,
- Simultaneous equation,
- Statistics – Calculation of the mean,
- Plane geometry – angles at a point,
- Simplification of algebraic fractions.
Although very few candidates attempted the question on geometrical construction, as usual, the performance was better when compared with those of previous years.
