This question demanded the candidates to write on purification, its types and purposes. The question seemed to be very simple and of wide scope to accommodate enough points which eventually earned the candidates good marks.
Some of the good points which attracted the candidates’ interest include Tayammum as a substitute for water ablution, Janabah, Nifas, Haydh and Dukhul al-Islam or Janazah as types of purification. Despite this impressive performance, very few candidates misrepresented Taharah (purification) for Tashahhud which is an integral part of Salat. As a result, they wrote the text of Tashahhud.
