This question which required the students to examine the contributions of women to the development of Hadith, was adjudged standard and innovative by many examiners.
Candidates found the question dreadful and ran away from it. Few candidates who attempted it were short of points. It is therefore an indication that teachers should subsequently teach the development of Hadith from this syllabic perspective. Aishah, Ummu Salmah and Hafsah were women of note, worthy of discussion.
