Candidates’ weakness was their inability to write Quranic and Hadith quotations in correct transliteration as expected of those who cannot write in Arabic.

Many candidates were ill-prepared for the examination. Their answers were too superficial and contained a lot of irrelevances.

Teachers should endeavour to emphasize the importance of candidates reading prescribed texts.

Candidates need to adopt a more serious attitude towards preparation for examinations.
