Candidates were required to give two reasons for the institution of ‘Iru Mgbede’ and profer three reasons why the tradition is dying in Igbo land. Some of the reasons for Iru Mgbede are

- izu nwaagbogho maka obibi ndu ezinaulo
This tradition is dying because of the following reasons:

- uka
- ihe isi ike
- oru oyibo dg.
