The standard of the' paper remained the same compared with those of the previous years. The questions set were within the syllabus, explicit and straight forward. There was no remarkable improvement in the candidates' performance when compared with those of the previous years. The understanding level was below average as many candidates could not decipher the technical meaning of the terms used in the questions.
