(i) lack of understanding of questions;
(ii) poor reading habits;
(iii) poor articulation and regurgitation of irrelevant points;
(iv) spelling and grammatical errors.

The suggested remedies to overcome the above weaknesses are:

(i) use of qualified teachers who are ready to teach and guide their students;  
(ii) mass promotion should be discouraged to make student~ read harder in order to pass school exams;
(iii) provision of relevant textbooks and encouraging students to read them.
