The (a) part of the question was generally well answered by most candidates. They were expected to mention Nok culture, Ife, Oyo, Taruga etc.
The (b) part demanded a knowledge of Nigerian cultural past with particular reference to Igbo-Ukwu features. Unfortunately, most candidates performed poorly because of their limited knowledge hence scored low marks.
Some who scored high marks were able to describe the following features:
(i)
evidence of iron works;
(ii) decorated pottery;
(iii) burial chamber - evidence of royalty
(iv) terra-cotta heads, etc.
