The question was fairly popular with the candidates but not veil tackled. Majority of the candidates displayed limited knowledge of the aims of the United Nations Organization (UNO). The aims include:
(i)To maintain International peace and security;
(ii)To develop friendly relations among nations based on the principles of equal rights and self-determination of peoples;
(iii)To achieve international co-operation In solving econornic1 cultural and humanitarian problems;
(iv)Promotion of respect for fundamental human rights.
In the 'b' part most candidates mixed up the achievements of the organization of African Unity (OAU) with those, Of the Economic Community of West African State (ECOWAS). This made the overall performance in the question to fall below average.
