This was a popular question and was attempted by most candidates.
A few candidates however understood the question and. answered correctly. Many did not consider the period In question and emphasized on the current factors that make people to migrate.
They were expected to mention wars, dynastic struggles, population
pressure, etc as some of the factors that influenced the migration of peoples.

A few good candidates were able to explain. the following effects of migration to score high marks 1n the 'b' part:
(i)It led to the mixing and mingling of different cultures of Nigerians;
(ii)It encouraged contact among various Nigerian peoples;
(iii)Trade was strengthened;
(Iv)It led to the establishment of new settlements, etc.
