(a)        List five ways of preventing road accidents
(b)       (i)         State four signs of a fracture
             (ii)        State one difference between a simple fracture and a Compound fracture.
(c)        Outline the first-aid treatment you will give to a victim of a
             poisonous snake bite                                                     [6 marks]
(d)        State three criteria to be met in siting a house               [3 marks]

OBSERVATION

This was the most popular question for the candidates and most of them scored highly. Most candidates who attempted the question could correctly list how traffic accidents could be prevented, state signs of a fracture, the difference between a simple fracture and a compound fracture as well as the first aid treatment to be given to a victim of snake bite.
The candidates however, could not correctly state the criteria to be met in siting a house and many of them did not attempt that sub number. Expected answers include:
Criteria for sitting a house

      1. Good site/soil/aspect;
      2. Away from noisy environment/named e.g. market/garage; Good lighting system;
      3. Close so social amenities/named electricity/schools/hospitals;
      4. Building plan/foundation/walls/ventilation/floor/ceiling/roof should be of high
quality
