The observed weaknesses of the candidates include:

1. They avoided questions involving drawing of diagrams;
2. Not outlining the steps of a processes sequentially when describing such processes;
3. Poor spelling of labels and technical terms;
4. Non-adherence to rubrics;
5. Poor power of expression;
6. Poor grasp of the English Language.

The following remedies were proffered to overcome these weaknesses:

• Teachers should lay more emphasis on the rudiments of drawing and organize spelling drills;                       
• Health Science should not be offered in schools as an alternative to Biology or   Agricultural Science as candidates can benefit from all the subjects.
