The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were straightforward and achieved good coverage of the syllabus. The rubrics were clear, while the marking scheme was comprehensive and flexible enough to accommodate a variety of responses given by the candidates.
With a raw mean score of 33 and standard deviation of 15.39 the performance of the candidates was better than that of the Nov/Dec. 2007 WASSCE that had a raw mean score of 27 and standard deviation of 12.92.
