Most candidates were weak in sound system and grammar. So also a few number of them could not supply sufficient answers to questions based on the recommended texts. This could be due to non-preparedness of the candidates for the examination.
-Qualified teachers should be employed to teach Hausa
-Ministries of Education should organise a special course for teachers in the aspect of phonetics and phonology
-Enough recommended books should be provided for the schools to enhance teaching and learning of the subject.
