The perceived candidate’s weaknesses were:
(1)Inability of the candidates to explain their ideas in good English language:
(2)Many candidates' failure to expatiate their points;
(3)Some candidates' failure to understand the requirements of some of the questions;
(4)Candidates inability to arrange their work in paragraphs.
The above pitfalls could be ameliorated if the following steps were taken:
-Candidates should be taught the need to expatiate their points.
-Candidates should also endeavour to study the demands of the questions before they dabble into answering them.
-Teachers should inculcate the habit of reading into the students. This will enable them express themselves in good English Language.
-Efforts should be made by candidates to arrange their points in sequence and in paragraphs.
