This was a straightforward and popular question. Majority of the candidates that attempted the question knew the requirements, detailed their points and sore good marks.

However, a few weak candidates could not perform well in the question because they failed to expatiate their points. The overall candidates performance in the question was average.

(1)Inability of the Organization to compel member states to pay their dues promptly and regularly;
(2)Polarization of member states into Anglophone and Francophone
(3)Inability to check cross-border smuggling;
(4)Inability to enforce its laws, rules, regulations and protocol on member states;
(5)Frequent conflicts in the sub-region e.g. civil wars create problems for• effective integration, etc.
