- South western tip of South Africa ~ around Cape Town.
The characteristics of the Mediterranean climate include
- Hot dry Summer and mild rainy winters
- Temperature ranges between 21°c and 26oc
- Summers are usually hot with high temperature of about 26°c .
- Winters are usually cold with temperature of about 10°c .
- Rainfall is mostly in winter
- Total annual rainfall is between 400-1000mm
- There is heavy cloud cover in winter
- Presence of local winds e.g. Sirocco and Mistral
