The performance in this question was very poor because the candidates did not follow instructions in the Cash Book. The question required Discounts and Bank Column only. Some candidates added Cash Column to it and this resulted in the low performance of the candidates.
In (b) part, candidates did not know how to rule the petty Cash Book which made them to score zero mark for ruling Cash Book without analysis of payment entries.
