A very poor understanding of the second question in the data responses section. There was a lack of technical skill to tackle this question.
Grammatical errors and unbalanced presentation of responses.
Full calculations for data response questions were not shown. This would have helped to earn maximum marks.
Some spent more time listing out points which were not properly explained. Where they explained, it was too brief. They need to broaden their knowledge.
Axis of graph and curves were not adequately labelled.
Inadequate coverage of the syllabus.
The following remedial steps should be taken to overcome the identified weakness:
(1) There is the need for candidates to adhere strictly to the requirements of the rubrics.
(2) Candidates should take mathematics, which is a related subject more seriously.
(3) Candidates should endeavour to go beyond listing out points only.
(4) Candidates should desist from a selective study of topics in the syllabus.
