Part A of this question required the candidates to calculate the following.
(i) Authorised capitals
(ii) Issued capital
(iii) Called up capital
(iv) Paid up capital

Part B asked the candidates to calculate the following
(i) Working capital
(ii) Net sales
(iii) Net profit percentage
(iv) Fixed asset.

This was an unpopular question among the candidates because it involved calculations. Few candidates who attempted it performed above average. The following should be noted
(i) Working capital = Current Asset – Current liabilities
(ii) Net sales = Gross sales – Return inwards

(iii)Net Profit Percentage =Net profit  x  100

                                                       Sales           1            etc.
