Most candidates answered question 1a very well. But majority of the candidates had problems with question 1b.
The following points were lacking in the candidates’ answers to question 1b.
Examples:
(i) Most co-operative societies lack proper documentation, which makes tracking of loan and deposit difficult.
(ii) Disagreement and favouratism among executive members could affect the running of the cooperative society.
(iii) Most members of the management committee lack the expertise in business; this leads to poor management in most co-operative societies etc.
