The Standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years. The rubrics were clear, straight forward and unambiguous. The questions were well structured and achieved a wide coverage of the examination syllabus. The marking scheme was flexible and fair to the candidates.
The raw mean score of 35 and standard deviation of 15.65 indicated that the performance of the candidates was poorer than that of the May/June 2008 WASSCE with a raw mean score of 38 and standard deviation of 18.28.
