question 8 Acts 12: 1 – 24

(a) Explain how Herod opposed the early church.

(b) Identify two consequences of this opposition.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Observation

The question was not SQ popular among the candidates. Those who attempted it performed averagely except that some mistook the question for Herod's killing of infants in Bethlehem. The consequence that is, the 'b' part was not well articulated because they failed to mention points like the relative peace that the death of Herod brought to the church. The church grew, the gospel spread and the fear that gripped the church was removed. The question was answered by only those that knew the narrative hence the average score.
