The weaknesses noticed, included the following:
(] ) Misinterpretation of questions;,
(2) Inability to mention salient points;
(3) Violation of rubrics;
(4) lack of interest in the subject;
(5) Inadequate preparation for the examination;
(6) Sermonizing (preaching);
(7) Poor grammatical expression;

The suggested remedies for the weakness are:

(a) Candidates should prepare very well for the examination.
(b) They should compliment the sti.ldy of their Bible with their teachers' notes.
(c) Reading of novels should be encouraged to improve their grammatical expression. .
(d) There is need for candidates to show greater commitment and interest in the subject.
(e) Each candidate should possess and read a copy of the recommended Bible (RSV)
(t) Qualified teachers should be employed for thorough and effective teaching.
