Ishmaelite.
(b) What two lessons can be drawn from this incident

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Observation

In this question, candidates were expected to state the circumstances which led to the sale of Joseph by his brothers. This was a very popular question and it was well handled by the candidates. They wrote extensively on the topic and therefore had high scores. However, some failed to mention that (i) Destiny could be delayed but not halted. (ii) There is need to avoid hatred/bitterness as one of the lessons to be learnt from the incidents. (iii) There is need for secrecy.
The roles of Reuben and Judah in the episode were not properly articulated. Many candidates did not mention the 20 shekels of silver and the final safe to portiphar.
