Many candidates were able to:

• lay the strip foundations at the specified depth below ground level;
• position the doors in elevation;
• produce well annotated drawings of the timber roof members.

 

However, some of them failed to show graphically:

• the earth and the hardcore filling underneath the floor slab;
• plastering/rendering on both sides of walls in section;
• windows (at the verandahs) in section;
• the locations of ring beams; columns and lintel.
