The Standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years.  The rubrics were clear, the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates declined considering the mean score of 20 and a standard deviation of 11.45 compared with a mean score of 24 and a standard deviation of 12.17  for the Nov/Dec. 2007 WASSCE.
