OBSERVATION

This was on electricity where a simple circuit was required. Most of the candidates attempted this question. However some of the candidates could not define an electrical circuit. An electrical circuit is an unbroken path of a conductor through which an electric current flows.
Most of the candidates faired well in part (b) of the question which required them to draw a simple circuit and label four parts of it.
Part c(i) required the candidates to name the types of circuit connection used on motor vehicle while c(ii) required the candidates to state two merits of the types of connections named in c(i). Most of the candidates lack knowledge about the type of circuit connection used on motor vehicle. Answers like "dc and ac, positive and negative’ are some of the incorrect answers presented by some connections. The correct answers are parallel and series connection. The merits of parallel and series connection were correctly stated by most of the candidates who attempted this part of the question.
