The paper compared favourably with those of previow1 years in terms of standard, concepts tested and coverage of the examination syllabus.
The rubrics were clear and the marking scheme flexible and exhaustive.
The questions were clearly itemized to ease comprehension.

However, the performance of the candidates was lower than that of previous year. The candidate population of 231,146 had a raw mean score of  16 and a standard deviation of 7.74 compared to a raw mean score of 22 and standard deviation of 7.74 recorded in the November 2006 WASSCE with candidate: population of 257,569.
