This question was fairly attempted by the candidates. In questions 4(a) and (b), some candidates could neither list the breeds of specimen L (live fowl) which may be used for only commercial egg production nor state the maturity period of specimen L (live fowl) from day old to point of lay.

- Ancona;
- Grey dorking;

- Minorca.
Maturity period of specimen L from day old to point of lay:
19 – 20 ± 1 week
In questions 4(c) and (d), many candidates were able to list the features on the head of specimen L (live fowl) and state the parasites and diseases that attack specimen L.
In question 4(d, most of the candidates could list ways of controlling the mentioned parasites in specimen L(live fowl).
